Getting started
Make Sure You’re Eligible
Before anything else, check you meet the basic requirements: you must be at least 15 years and 9 months to apply for a provisional licence, be able to read a number plate from 20 metres away, and have valid ID (usually a passport). This step keeps everything smooth later on.
Apply for Your Provisional Licence
You apply online through the official GOV.UK website. You’ll need your ID, your address history and a payment method. Once you’ve applied, your provisional licence usually arrives in the post - and that’s your green light to start learning.
Start Learning the Highway Code
While you wait for your licence, begin getting familiar with the Highway Code. This makes your first few lessons much easier and gives you a head-start toward your theory test.
Book Your First Lesson
Once your provisional licence arrives, you’re officially ready to get behind the wheel. Book your first driving lesson with us, bring your licence with you, and we’ll guide you through the basics at a comfortable pace.
